Monica SinclairMy Pilates journey began 17 years ago at Pilates Place, at a time when I was experiencing many physical challenges in my late thirties. I quickly discovered just how beneficial strength, stretching and mindful movement could be, and Pilates soon became a passion that changed my life.
A very important part of that journey was Steph Roos, who was my mentor and my partner for almost two decades. She ignited a fire in me and inspired me to continue growing, learning and following my Pilates journey.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of helping so many people rebuild their strength and confidence after car accidents, brain tumour surgery, hip replacements, shoulder operations and many other physical challenges.
Seeing my clients progress week by week is incredibly rewarding. I love the connection and interaction with each person, and watching them become stronger, improve their balance, move with greater confidence and, most importantly, age gracefully.
This year, a very special new chapter of my journey began when I opened my own Pilates studio. It is a dream I am incredibly proud of, and I feel so grateful to continue doing what I love every day.
After 17 years, my passion for Pilates is stronger than ever. It is more than movement to me. It is about strength, confidence, connection and helping people feel better in their own bodies.
Pilates truly is my passion.

My work is basically offering a solution to the problem and I pride myself in excellent customer service. My daily reward comes from my clients leaving my store with a smile.
As many of you may know, I was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer in 2024, and heavily leaned on my staff. The journey was not an easy one, but with all the support from my wonderful staff, family, friends, and clients I was able to come out on top!

I’m a fully qualified Beauty Therapist who became a baker and, most importantly, a passionate Royal Icing Cookie Decorator.
My journey began in 2010, after my first daughter was born with Down syndrome. She needed my full-time care, which meant I had to find a way to work from home while being there for her.
I’ve always loved being creative and have a natural eye for fine detail. With patience, dedication and lots of love, I discovered the art of decorated cookies. What started out of necessity soon became a passion, and eventually grew into Suikersoet Koekies.
Today, 16 years later, I bake and decorate personalised cookies for weddings, baby showers, birthdays and all kinds of special occasions.
Every cookie is made by me with passion, creativity and lots of love. For me, it’s about more than just beautiful cookies. It’s about being part of someone’s special moment and turning it into a sweet, edible memory.

What started in December 2019 with a love for picking up our family's camera has grown into a business that is deeply rooted in connection, authenticity, and preserving life's most meaningful moments. (Which I still often think how is it a business?!)

My baking journey began during my matric year when I entered a cake decorating competition.
At the time, I knew absolutely nothing about baking. I taught myself everything I could, hoping to create something special.
Although I didn't succeed in the competition, I found something far more valuable-a passion that would change my life.
Instead of giving up, I kept learning, practicing, and challenging myself to become better every single day. That one competition sparked a dream that has grown into the business you're supporting today.
